Our cayenne is grown throughout India in consistent tropical climates and mineral rich soils. When the cayenne is ready to harvest, the pods are cut from the plant, sundried, cleaned, ground and sifted into a fine powder. Cayenne has numerous applications in recipes, contains beneficial nutrients and has detoxifying and antioxidant properties. Our cayenne is particularly bright red and registering at 160,000 SKU, a little goes a long way.
Cayenne grows best in tropical environments with a wet climate and nutrient rich soil. The small bush can grow between 3-4 ft in height, has small green leaves and mostly white\ flowers. The pods are skinny, 3-10 inches in length, taper towards the bottom and have somewhat rippled skin. Most peppers are red but can be yellow, orange or purple when mature and ready for harvest. The peppers are harvested when firm and fully red, sundried, cleaned and ground into a fine powder, sifted and packaged to ensure maximum freshness, aroma and flavor.
